Some Eye Candy (a Liberace painting demo)

Number one, happy 09-09-09!  Someone mentioned this at the office today and I wondered if it was as auspicious for Asians (especially the Chinese) as  08-08-08 was.

Since class doesn’t start again for another few weeks, so I thought I’d post these pictures from a class demonstration Robert Liberace gave last July.  The pictures are from an cell phone camera so they may be a little dark or grainy.

I will just post them in order, with the commentary in the title.  I checked the time that the photos were taken and it looks like the demo happened in an hour and 20 two 20-minute sessions according to a fellow classmate.  The results are pretty amazing.

Hope you like this.

  1. Mongoose,
I own this one. It is beautiful. It took two 20 minutes sessions….I think. Lower body workshop starts tomorrow…..looking forward to it.

  2. Argh, my class was canceled/moved to December (with Rick Weaver) I am bummed since I really wanted to take it. I already have plans for the weekend it’s been moved to.

Forty minutes wow`I guesstimated the time based on the time the pictures were snapped.

    How did you frame it?

  3. didn’t frame it yet. It is a very unusual shape….not a rectangle. Looks like a scrap of canvas…. Maybe frame it like the one I saw at your place where you preserved the edge as it is.
The lower body workshop with Rob this past weekend was great. I’ve already watched his new DVD twice! Body in motion.

  4. Nice work.
